Some drinkware shouts. This one keeps its voice low and lets the crest do the talking. A cream field, a soft Carolina blue diamond lattice, and a single centred emblem — collegiate heritage read through a quiet, tailored lens.

Design Story

The wraparound composition is built on an argyle grid, its stitched diamond lines fading in tone so the pattern reads as texture rather than noise. Over it sits a cream focal panel with a shaped, almost heraldic outline, anchored by the interlocking NC monogram in dusty blue. Typography stacks in clear hierarchy: UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA above, NORTH CAROLINA TAR HEELS in serif capitals below, then a small EST. 1789 plaque and a scrolled ribbon reading LIMITED EDITION near the base. Restrained palette, high tonal control, generous negative space — the graphic feels sculpted into the surface instead of stamped onto it.

Use & Experience

On a tall tumbler silhouette the design uses vertical proportion well: the crest occupies the front-facing focal area at eye level, the argyle carries continuously around the body, and the ribbon detail closes the lower third so nothing floats. The handle sits beside the panel without cropping it, keeping the emblem readable in hand.
